“Right Smack-Dab in The Middle Of World War III.”

SITREP: You’re group of guerillas are 40 miles behind enemy lines, fighting against conventional forces. Use ammo and munitions picked up off the battlefield to strengthen your team.  Be careful though, Russians don’t fight fair and are known to use NBC warfare.

Ammo Count:
  • Precision Rifle: 16 Rounds for the sniper.
  • Carbine: 4 Mags of 6 rounds each per assaulters.
  • Gas Masks: Will be issued in holding area. Athletes may use their own, if it has full face coverage, attached external filter, & carrying pouch.

Stage Time: Minutes ???

Shooting Position: Standing or kneeling (not prone). Body armor worn by hardcore athletes.

Number of shooters at once: Entire Team. 1 Sniper and 2-3 assaulters.
Solo Athletes: Chose the role of either a Sniper or Assaulter.

Description: For event safety, Carbines will remain unload unless in a designated covered fighting position.

On command from RSO, the team will run from the holding area to the 1st cover position.

Once at the cover position,
  • The sniper will:
    • Immediately use  a precision rifle system (and any supporting equipment) to engage each of the IPSC target A Zone HEAD BOX directly in front of the cover fighting position with 1 round each from either a kneeling or standing position.
    • Engage Tannerite target within close proximity of  the same IPSC targets.
  • The assaulting team members will:
    • Immediately use carbines to engage each of the IPSC targets A Zone BODY BOX directly in front of the cover fighting position with 2 rounds each from either a kneeling or standing position.
    • Each assaulting team member (not the sniper) will pick up and accurately toss 1 dummy grenade towards the same IPSC target area.
  • Once all targets have been engaged, and grenades thrown, the  team will move together to the next cover fighting position.
  • While moving, carbines will be empty and on safe.
  • While moving, the precision rifle only may have a magazine inserted, bolt to the rear, and on safe.

If at any time the command GAS GAS GAS is called by the RSO, the team must get behind the nearest forward cover position, keep weapons pointed in a safe direction, properly don and clear gas masks, then continue to fight. Once the command ALL CLEAR is used, the gas masks may come off and stored.

Scoring:
  • ·Sniper Scoring:
    • 1 point per hit in the A Zone head box
    • 6 points per Tannerite detonation (It must detonate. A near miss that cracks the container, but does not detonate doesn’t count)
    • Max points: 36 points
  • Assaulter Scoring:
    • 1 point per hit in the A Zone body box.
    • 3 points per grenade in kill zones (5 meters).  1 point per grenade in casualty zones (15 meters). 0 points for outside casualty zone.
    • Max points per shooter: 36 points
  • Failure to properly don, clear, and maintain gas mask seal: Negative 10 points per violating athlete.
  • Total points, divided by number of athletes (Round fraction scores down) = TEAM SCORE.

Total number of stage team points: Maximum Team Points = 36 points.
