“My Father Turned Me In.”

SITREP: Daryl went to town, and got caught by the Russians. Exploiting his venerability, the enemy sets an ambush on his friends. After the dust settles, the team needs to make a decision on what to do with Daryl’s dead weight.

Location: Range #7 (Vehicle bay.)                  Staging / prep area is in Range #5

Ammo Count:
  • Pistol: 1 mag of 4 rounds per athlete.
  • Carbine: 2 Mags of 10 rounds per athlete.

Stage Time: ??? Minutes from initial contact.

Shooting Position: Kneeling or Standing. Body armor worn by hardcore athletes.

Number of shooters at once: Entire team.

Description: On command from RSO, load pistols with magazine of 4 rounds, then holster. Carbine remains unload unless in a designated covered fighting position.

At the staging area, the team will load into a vehicle as instructed by the RSO. The vehicles driver will transport the team into Calumet (range 7). On the signal “CONTACT” from RSO, the team will respond by abandoning the disabled vehicle per Wolverine 5K SOP (get out on non-contact side).

*For event safety only* Carbines will only be loaded/unloaded at cover fighting positions. Athletes will not move with loaded carbines. Loaded handguns in holsters is acceptable.

The athlete at each cover fighting position (marked by orange cones) will engage each clearly visible target with 2 rounds each into the A Zone body box while utilizing cover. If your carbine malfunctions or goes dry while hostile targets are still present, transition to pistol.

Daryl gets hit!  For bonus points, the team may choose to assess, treat, and transport Daryl as they break contact away from the enemy’s ambush.

See the Wolverine 5K SOP for casualty care under fire:
1. Shoot all threats.
2. Assess the patient.
3. Treat the patient.
4. Move the patient.
5. Once in new location.
6. Shoot all threats.
7. Assess the patient.
8. Treat the patient.
9. Move the patient…..Continue assessing and treating after each move.

The team will utilize available cover to bound away from an overwhelming enemy force while using fire and maneuver.

Scoring:
  • 1 points per hit in the A Zone.
  • Total points, divided by number of athletes (Round fraction scores down) = TEAM SCORE.
  • Properly assess, treat, and transport casualties within the par time = Bonus 10 team points.
  • Failure to use cover (not touching the cone) = Negative 5 points per instance.
  • Shoot anything but a target (piece of cover or vehicle) = Team stage disqualification.

Total number of stage team points: Maximum Team Points = 34 points.
